Sr. HVAC Designer Needed

Come join our passionate, fast-growing team and be a part of the Moss legacy.We are looking to hire a Sr. HVAC designer who will be working on construction plans provided by our clients. This employee will be working alongside the Project Managers to ensure all equipment and plans are up to date for each project. This position will involve the entire design process including plan reviews, manual J load calculations, and Blue Beam duct drawings. They will also need to support technical data for commissioning and certification of Energy Star homes. Base plans and other production work are the heavy focus for this position.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to handle high workloads with a diverse client base
- Excellent AutoCAD skills (3 to 5 years experience)
- Knowledge of residential construction practices
- Knowledge of residential energy and mechanical codes (IECC & IMC)
- High level of personal responsibility, accuracy, and organization Knowledge in Excel, Word, and Access
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Wrightsoft software for performing Manual J8 (Load) calculations with the inclusion of current specification (builder and code specific)
- Design working drawings of HVAC layouts derived from Manual J load calculations
- Commissioning of completed projects
- Process projects for permitting
- Assist with design questions and revisions
